MR511 Hot wire gas Sensor Oxide Semiconductors Can Be Used For Natural Gas
The MR511 gas sensor detects gas based on changes in thermal and electrical conductivity caused by gas adsorption on the surface of a metal oxide semiconductor. The change in the resistance of the sensing element determines the gas concentration. The MR511 consists of a sensing element and a compensation element connected in series, forming one arm of a Wheatstone bridge. When exposed to combustible gas, the sensing element's resistance decreases, causing a change in the bridge's output voltage. This voltage change increases with increasing gas concentration. The compensation element acts as a reference and provides temperature compensation.
