Product Description:
HX711 ADC Chip ADC 24-bit ADC For Electronic Scales
Features:
HX711 is an ADC chip that includes a preamplifier. The chip is specially designed for electronic scale applications. Load cells, which typically measure weight, provide a voltage output in millivolts. These outputs are difficult to process directly by the controller, so we can use the HX711 IC, which receives these voltage signals and provides a standard digital value that can be used by the microcontroller. The chip has an integrated preamplifier specifically designed to handle these low voltages.
HX711 Features and specifications
Two optional differential input channels
On-chip active low-noise PGA with optional gains of 32, 64, and 128
On-chip power regulator for load cell and ADC analog power supply
On-chip oscillator without external components and optional external crystals
Power-on and reset the chip
Simple digital control and serial interface: pin-driven control without programming
Optional 10SPS or 80SPS output data rate
Both 50 and 60Hz power supplies are suppressed
Current consumption: normal operation <1.5mA, power failure <1uA
Operating power supply voltage range: 2.6V to 5.5V
Operating temperature range: -40℃ to + 85℃
Where do I use HX711
In order to measure weight using a load cell, we usually need to adjust the power supply, output amplifier (to reduce noise) and ADC converter. All three of these functions require three separate circuits and components, adding cost and complexity. Therefore, we can use the HX711 IC with all of the above functions without removing complex circuits.
